UP govt has set a 7-day deadline for response to property attachment notices slapped on those accused of damaging public property during CAA protests. The govt has taken recourse to a 2010 Allahabad HC order which allows the govt to claim damages for public property destroyed during protests or riots from those convicted for violence.
