Results of the Karnataka byelections could extend the political career of CM BS Yediyurappa and also of the 13 disqualified MLAs who contested on BJP tickets. But if the Congress-JD(S) gets a chance to cobble an alliance, it would be a massive blow to the BJP at the national level. OR the Centre could impose President’s rule. Result: Fresh polls before 2023.
