Villagers living in the Byas valley of Dharchula have not yet received their ration supplies from the state government due to blocked Lipulekh pass that connects the border villages to rest of the Pithoragarh district. As a result, villagers buy food grains and other items from Nepal's villages which source these from the Taklakot bazaar in China.
